This collection of family papers and memorabilia starts with a family tree of the descendants of Dr. Henry Palmer (1827-1895), who was a Civil War surgeon and then became the surgeon general of Wisconsin, based in Janesville, Wisconsin. The collection was assembled by his grandson Frederick Hoyt Taylor's second wife Martha Mongeau Taylor. It includes photographs, letters, memorials, small publications, news clippings, textile fragments, a handwritten memory book, and a baby book.
