This picture shows the Steamer Promise one of the fleet of the Belle Isle and Windsor Ferry Co. These boats leave Third Street and Foot of Woodward avenue every 15 minutes for Belle Isle. Detroit has the finest fleet of excursion steamers in the World. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 21, 1911.
