Description:

Three original illustrations that were created for Gringhuis' book "The Young Voyageur," published in 1955 by Whittlesey House/McGraw-Hill Book Company, Inc. The book is juvenile fiction about the fur trade in the mid-1700s. The illustrations are: "A Map Showing the Travels of Danny O'Hara, Young Voyageur" (color). Used in endpapers of book. "Raising the still smoking gun, he plunged into the surf." Illustration appears on page 85. Untitled illustration, appears on page 162.
