Educational broadcasting in Africa

Description:: This article discusses the concept of development communication and the role which communication can play in the development process. Using the Ugandan example, it shows how the broadcast media have been used for formal and non-formal education in select African countries. It reveals the potentialities and constraints of educational broadcasting in particular and broadcasting in general including technological underdevelopment, lack of financial and human resources, as well as political instability and upheavals.Mtumi
