Karanis; Textiles; Wool
- Notes:
- Fragments of two woven wool fabrics that have been sewn together.; Fragment A - brown and yellow warps, mostly alternating in pairs; yellow weft.; Fragment B - tapestry with yellow warp. The weft may be divided bands; two wide purple bands with red tapestry and linen weft-wrapping and a yellow band dividing the two. Both fragments are very deteriorated. There are remnants of coarse linen yarn used to sew the pieces together.
