The large crowd has gathered for the dedication of a monument to Central High School students who were killed in World War I. The monument is a square white tower with a bronze plaque inset that reads, "Dedicated to the memory of those from Central High School who have made the supreme sacrifice in defense of humanity in the World War, 1914-1918."
