Tilsit Städt Sparkasse, 1 Mark [side two]

- Back of 1 Mark polychrome German note. The bill is divided into three columns. In the left column is an image of an elk. In the center is a map of the region, showing East Prussia and Memelland. In the right column is an image of a man standing on a raft. Memelland was occupied by Lithuania in the "Klaipėda Revolt" of 1923, annexed by Nazi Germany in March, 1939 and immediately reintegrated into East Prussia, annexed by Soviet Union in 1946, and made a part of the Lithuanian SSR in 1948. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, it has been part of the Republic of Lithuania.
