Lamps; Clay (unfired); Slip

Notes:

Hard dark red clay with polished slip of same color. Long rounded nozzle with large wick hole. Broad channel leads to discus. Depressed rim with raised decoration, circles of varying design alternating with diamond shaped figures. Christian monogram in center of discus. Filling hole on either side. Ungrooved knob-like handle. Raised base ring from which ridge extends to handle. Heavy. End of nozzle and discus stained by material used as fuel.
