Rome; Lamps; Clay (unfired); Slip

Notes:

Buff to pinkish clay with pink slip. Flat circular lamp with broad rim, nozzle does not project but wick hole is at one side. Two circular bands of decoration on rim is between grooves: in outer band is row of incised dots. No handle. On reverse is base ring about half way in from edge within which is row of dots.; Two bands of grooves with dots between extend from base ring to edge of reverse under wick hole and under side opposite. Blackened about wick hole.
