Experimental Olds Gasoline Steam Carriage

Description:

An original cabinet card taken by Lansing photographers Cassey and Riley in about 1892, showing a young R. E. Olds at the steering lever of his second self-propelled vehicle. (His first was constructed by him in 1886-1887). The passenger is not identified. On the back is a typed pasted-on note: "Second car built by RE Olds - later sold to a firm in Bombay, India."
