From far back on the aqueduct ridge, toward the site. In the left half the picture in the distance is the entire mass of Kara Kuyu. The river valley extends along the basae of this, marked occasionally by trees. At the right is the aqueduct ridge with, in the distance, some of the ruined arches. The site of Antioch is the apparently low hill lying between the gorge at the base of Kara Kuyu and the arches of the aqueduct. Yalivadj is down the plain beyond this hill.
