Balance Rod; Karanis; Weights and Measures; Wood

Notes:
Slightly curved rod of wood which is thicker at the middle. Each end is a rounded knob with a series of grooves circling the ends for decoration. There is a hole drilled at each end. There are two more holes located at the top of piece; one at each end about 2 cm from ends. Each end is hollow so the two holes connect. There is also a hole in the very middle going all the way through the piece. The surface is smooth with some cracking and gouges.
