Fragment; Karanis; Pottery; Wool; Clay (unfired)
- Notes:
- Tan pottery fragment on wool string; perhaps pot sherd. Slight convex shape. Thickness of broken edges and concave "inside" area have red tint. Pierced longitudinally.; Yellowed 2-ply yarn which has been looped through a hole in a small piece of pottery. A piece of the yarn was wrapped around and tied near the clay piece. There is another knot near an end of the yarn.
