Rome; Lamps; Clay (unfired); Slip

Notes:

Pale buff micaceous clay with traces of brown slip. End of nozzle broken off. Raised ladder pattern on neck. Rim is raised moulding with incised herring bone pattern and set off by grooves. Plain concave discus with large filling hole. Solid handle from which ridge extends to raised base ring. Within base ring are incised two lines on either side beneath neck. Slightly blackened about wick hole.
