Hanging Lamp; Rome; Lamps; Bronze; Clay (unfired)

Notes:
Coarse dark gray-brownish micaceous clay; dark yellowish green to brownish glaze. Oval lamp with nozzle restored. Broad rim slopes sharply outward and is decorated with two raised dots alternating with vertical cable pattern. Large knob on either side at base of nozzle. Raised cable pattern between rim and plain sunk discus. Vertical ring handle which rises from center of discus is restored. Two filling holes behind it. Five raised dots within base ring. Bronze chain attached to handle with ring and a ring at other end. Approximately 8 cm without rings.
