Breakfast menu card from the Hotel Pontchartrain, dated February 15, 1918. The recto lists fruit, beverages, cereals, eggs, oysters, fish, specials, and potatoes. The verso declares that the hotel is a member of the United States Food Administration, and urges the conservation of food for the war effort. Additionally, a disclaimer on the verso cautions that the management declines responsibility to damage to clothing caused by accidents in the dining room.
