Karanis; Textiles; Linen; Wool

Notes:

Fragment of a woven fabric with undyed 2-ply linen warp and wool weft in bands of variegated browns (shaded stripes?) and a small amount of red. Linen weft-wrapping and small slit tapestry elements were used to decorate the bands but the piece is too deteriorated to determine patterning. One end was folded and sewn.
