Fragment; Rome; Lamps; Glaze; Clay (unfired)

Notes:
Pale buff clay with worn mottled red and brown glaze. Lamp fragment including top and one side. Semicircular nozzle extends part way across rim and ends in straight groove. Plain rim separated from discus by three circular grooves. Small air hole in discus at base of nozzle. Crude head with bushy hair, crescent over forehead, and wearing locket and chain (Artemis?) is in center of discus. Ring handle broken. Enough of base to show that it was surrounded by groove.
