N. F. Jenison Dry Goods

Description:
A view of the Nelson F. Jenison dry goods store at 123 South Washington Avenue. Four women and two men stand out front, with bolts of fabric and other items for sale. A reflection of Mead Hall can be seen in the windows at left. All of the people in the photograph are not identified. The photograph was taken prior to 1896 when Jenison sold the store to Reynolds, Jewett, and Knapp. This building was torn down for the construction of the W. T. Grant store in the early 1930s.
