Rome; Lamps; Clay (unfired)

Notes:

Pinkish buff micaceous clay; unglazed. Nozzle with straight ends and concave sides. on neck, two moulded heads of long-necked bird addorsed. V-shaped groove separates palin rim from plain slightly concave discus. Pierced virtical handle rises from top opposite nozzle and at right angles to axis of lamp, top chipped. On Plain base shaped to outline of lamp is incised C. Oppi Res(tituti). Chip and crack on back.
