Salt water encounters

A Michigan State University faculty panel discusses, "Salt Water Encounters: Conducting Research Beneath, Beside, and Across the Oceans". Panelists describe their unique research and discoveries in the areas of undersea geography, vulcanism, chemical and isotope analysis, geopolitical impacts of transoceanic migration and trade, preservation of rare, mid-ocean islands as parks, and preservation of unique cultures and communities in the face of global sea-level rise, climate change and economic forces. Dr. Cynthia Jackson-Elmoore, Dean of the Honors College, convenes the session and moderates questions from the audience.
