- Eva Woodward Parker, a resident of Avon Township during the late 1800s and early 1900s,belonged to a prominent Rochester family. Her father was instrumental in securing a railroad stop in both Detroit and Rochester, while her husband, Arthur S. Parker, owned the Detroit Drug Company. She herself graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Literature. Both she and her husband were known statewide for their gardens. Upon her death in 1933, she donated large portion of her estate to the Avon Township Free Public Library (now the Rochester Hills Public Library). The exact date of this photograph is unknown.
