Interview of P. Y. Shu by filmmaker Frank Boring for the documentary, Fei Hu: The Story of the Flying Tigers. Col. P. Y. Shu was a Chinese interpreter for the American Volunteer Group (AVG). After attending college in China, he attained a Masters in municipal government administration from the University of Michigan. As none of the AVG members spoke Chinese, Hsu was recruited as Chief Interpreter, serving also as a liason with the Chinese Air Force. In this tape, Shu discusses the Chinese people's reaction to the American Volunteer Group and their success, in addition to his relationship with General Chennault and how Chennault and the Flying Tigers are remembered in China.
