The Note is written on both sides of a cardstock card. It reads: Detroit, Mich. 1175 Cass Ave. Mrs. John V. Moran My dear Mrs. Moran: It is my privilege to notify you of your election to Seventh Vice-President of the National Organization of Catholic Women, at the last annual meeting. - Invitation to a meeting of the United Stated Daughters of 1812. The invitation is printed in blue blackletter typeface on grey paper and reads, "National Society of the United States Daughters of 1812 State of New York Niagra Frontier Buffalo Chapter invite you to be present at a meeting on Friday afternoon, September fifth, nineteen hundred and thirteen, Twentieth Century Hall, at three o'clock in Commemoration of Perry's Victory at the Battle of Lake Erie."

- Description:
- Small hardcover book containing suggested bylaws for women's clubs written by Emma Fox. It is "a manual of Parliamentary law and practice designed for the use of societies literary, social, musical, philanthropic, and fraternal." The book is bound in a black cover with a small gold image of an oil lamp and a tree in the upper left corner. The book is signed with the handwritten note, "Yours Truly, Emma Fox," inside the front over, and also contains the handwritten name and addressses of the owner, "Mrs. Chas. B. Warner, Jr."
