- One "Internal Revenue License." The license, dated May 1, 1866, was printed in black text on white paper and has a circular eagle emblem at the top. Upon payment of a tax of $85, the license was issued to the Richmond & Backus Company to carry on their work as a "manufacturer & wholesale dealer at 185 Jefferson Avenue." An embossed seal of the "Collector of Internal Revenue" is located at the lower left corner of the license.
