- Advertisement from the Detroit Stove Works promoting their "Magnet" model hard coal burning stoves. On the recto is an illustration of a Magnet stove, credited to B. Ferguson of Albany, New York, and text advertising that it is "compact in form, very neat in design, operates readily, and will have rapid sale in all markets where hard coal is used."

- Description:
- Menu and program booklet from a Thanksgiving dinner served at the Wayne on Thursday, November 27, 1902. The menu is bound in a cream colored cardstock cover with white thread. A blackface caricature of a child rides on the back of a turkey holding an ear of corn hung from a stick in front of the bird on the cover. A list of pieces to be performed by Haug's Orchestra, as well as a list of the dishes to be served are contained within. "Very good. Give us More." is handwritten inside on the blank side of the inner leaf.

- Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company, Cleveland Division freight bill invoice for 33 cases of Smucker's apple butter shipped to the E.J. Dossin Company on May 2, 1923 aboard the passenger steamer WESTERN STATES. The bill is stamped as paid by the D&C line, and several handwritten notes have been made on it. A second copy is attached along the perforated left edge.

- One "United States Internal Revenue, Receipt for Special Tax," dated 1870. It was printed in black text on white paper and indicated that the Richmond & Backus Company had paid $60 for a special tax on its business as "Wholesale Dealers and Manufacturers" for the year ending May 1, 1871. The receipt was signed by "F. Blackinarr, Dep. [Deputy] Collector of the 1st District, State of Mich."

- One promissory note, dated November 13, 1869, that was issued by the Richmond & Backus Company. It was printed in black text on white paper. The note terms were handwritten in black ink text and indicated that $250 was to be paid to John C. Worthington on May 13, 1870, at the Second National Bank of Detroit. A handwritten endorsement on the verso indicated that the note was assigned to Robert McMillan.

- Luncheon menu card from the Russell House, dated Thursday, July 31, 1902 with a tear-off postcard attached at the top. The card is printed on burgundy paper, with a small colorized photo of the hotel's dining room at the top beside the hotel's crest, providing the face of the postcard, and the menu printed in dark gold below. Mailing instructions, and space for addresses and stamps are provided on the verso.

- Letter, dated September 5th, 1913, from the Peninsular Stove Company to the Soo Hardware Company of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The letter advertises the Peninsular Stove Company's Prospective Follow-Up Mail System, designed to aid stores in increasing sales by directly advertising to consumers. At the top of the letter is an image of the Peninsular Stove Company's logo and a stylized version of the company's name.
