The catalog also discusses the company's expanded location beside its Woodward Avenue Shoe House called The Bazaar. A mail order form is included on the last page. The catalog is bound in a paper cover featuring a color lithograph of a family of deer on a hill side on the front. The image is credited to Sackett, Wilhelms, and Betzig of new York. An illustration on the back cover shows the company's facing locations on both the east and west sides of Woodward Avenue near Congress Street.

- Russell House Thanksgiving dinner menu, dated November 28, 1901, consisting of two sheets of cardboard bound with twine. A hand-painted image of a pilgrim holding a pumpkin, walking with a Turkey against a snowy background is on the cover. A program of pieces to be performed by the Russell House Orchestra, as well as the menu itself are contained within. A hand-painted image of a pig's head on a plate, surrounded by a wreath containing ears of corn is on the back cover of the menu.

- D.M. Ferry and Company Memorandum of Shipment, dated December 11, 1917, for one box of Standard Garden Seeds sent to J.F. Suttle of Felix, Alabama shipped care of "SO R.R," presumably the Southern Railroad, Birmingham to Selma. The form states that freight charges are prepaid for the Detroit to Birmingham leg of the trip. "The best is always the cheapest--plant Ferry's," is printed at the bottom. The verso contains space for a list of additional shipped item, and has been left blank.

- One letter from the Baugh Steam Forge Company of Detroit to Ruhle Brothers of Philadelphia, dated February 9, 1878. The letterhead is printed in black script on white paper with a watermark that shows "Calvert Lith. Co., Detroit." The letter message is handwritten in black ink as follows: "Mssrs. Ruhle Brothers, Philadelphia. Dear Sirs. In reply to yours of the 6th. Your price is now so much in advance of other standard manufacturers that we felt obliged to place our orders elsewhere. Perhaps we may be able to do something with you at some future time, at present we are supplied. Yours truly, Baugh Steam Forge Co. Fil'd."

- Trade card from the Michigan Stove Company advertising Garland Stoves and Ranges. A lithograph on the recto, credited to Gies and Company of Buffalo, New York, depicts a girl in a pink dress holding a cat out toward a boy. The boy is sitting in a seat and examining a bird in a small birdcage that he is holding in his hands. An advertisement for Garland Stoves and Ranges, stressing the importance of buying genuine Garland products is on the verso. Stamped at the bottom of the verso is text reading "Lapp & Moe, 642 Gratiot Ave."

- A letter from Ralph Emery, a clerk working for the Detroit Stove Works, to his father, Robert T. Emery, in Belfast, Maine, dated October 7, 1886. The letter is written on Detroit Stove Works letterhead, which features a lithograph, credited to the Calvert Lithograph Company, depicting the Detroit Stove Works offices in Detroit and Chicago as well as the company's foundry in Hamtramck, Michigan. The letter reads: My dear Father, I suppose you are now in Boston having a very pleasant visit. I trust the trip will do you very much good, everything is busy with us. This will probably be our busiest month - These will be lively times in Michigan during election, which will be first of next month - the campaign is beginning to boom already. Thank you very much for sending me the Whig + Globe. I enjoyed seeing them very much. I never see a Boston or Maine paper, except the "City Press" - + enjoy seeing them very much. It has been very foggy for the past two or three mornings, which is very unusual for here - it is the first fog I have seen since I have been here - sent Emery Boardaway a "Graphic" a few days ago - though he would enjoy seeing it as it contained some cuts of prominent men - Hoping I hear from you when you get a chance to write.
