An isometric view of the laboratory of Frederick Stearns and Company is at the top. At the bottom left is a "view in Grand Circus Park." A woman stands in the path leading to the fountain. Another woman and child sit on the bench to her right. More people are visible in the background behind the fountain. The Palms Building is pictured in the lower left frame. Pedestrians walk along the sidewalk outside of it, while a streetcar pulled by a horse with a rather wide gait, speeds past.

- Print. Mounted, sepia-toned photographic print of a well-dressed group of six men and six women inside a horse carriage stopped along Grand Circus Park. The driver holds a riding crop, while a man near the rear of the carriage blows a long horn. A team of four horses pull the carriage. A fountain and several other people are visible among the trees in the background. "Detroit, August 23rd, 1897, For Miss Sarah Russel, Compliments of Cornelius A. Pugsley and Bradfrod Rhodes." handwritten in script on matting. "Grand Circus Park, Four-in-hand coach of 1897 circles Grand Circus Park with its stylish passengers (notice the man with the horn)" handwritten on verso. "O.M. Hayes & Co. Detroit" printed on left edge of matting.

- Small sepia-toned photographic print depicting the Merrill Fountain in Campus Martius in front of the Opera House, however it is captioned on the verso as "Fountain at Cadillac Square, March 10th, 1918." The fountain is turned off, and ice and icicles are visible within. Snow coats the ground and stairs to the right of the fountain. A pedestrian walks past in the background.
