- Detroit native Jim Daniels, Professor of English and Creative Writing at Carnegie-Mellon University, reads from his latest book of short stories "Trigger man: more tales from the Motor City". He shows and discusses his new film "Mr. Pleasant". Daniels explains his motivation for making the film, finding a location, using his students as actors, and the collaboration required in film making, which makes it so different from the isolation of writing. Daniels is introduced by Professor John P. Beck for the Michigan State University Libraries' Michigan Writers Series. Includes a brief promotion of the series by MSU librarian Michael Rodriguez.
