- One navigational chart entitled, "Chart No. 1 of River Ste. Marie from Point Iroquois to East Neebish." The area was "Surveyed under the direction of Captain J. N. Macomb, Topl. Engrs. [Topographical Engineers] in 1853, 1854, & 1855, with additions to date under the orders of Captain G. G. Meade, Topl. Engrs., 1857." The chart was drawn at a scale of 1:40,000 and covers several miles of the St. Mary's River both upstream and downstream of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, with information such as soundings in feet, river bottom characteristics, shoreline details, lighthouses, and sailing directions. The chart was printed in black ink on white paper and was published by the Bureau of Topographical Engineers of the War Department (later known as the Army Corps of Engineers). - One chart entitled "Survey of the Mouth of Clinton River, Michigan" that was made by Capt. A. Canfield, U.S.T.E. (United States Topographical Engineers) who was assisted by J. F. Munro and J. Holcroft, Civil Engineers. The chart was drawn at a scale of 1 inch = 400 feet and is printed in black ink on white paper. It shows a simple topographical survey that covers about 4000 feet at the mouth of the Clinton River as it flows into Lake St. Clair. Survey information includes areas of rushes adjacent to the river, water depths in feet, depth contour lines, a lighthouse, and a cross-section detail. [Topographical Engineers] with corrections to date by Lieut. W. F. Raynolds, Corps Topl. Engrs. under the orders of Capt. J. N. Macomb, Corps Topographical Engineers, 1853." The chart was drawn at a scale of 1:30,000 and covers about 3 miles of the Fox River and about 6 miles of the head of Green Bay. The towns of Green Bay and Fort Howard, Wisonsin, are shown. - Navigational chart entitled, "Map of the Delta of the St. Clair [River]," that was compiled by Lieutenants J. N. Macomb and W. H. Warner "under the direction of Captain W. G. Williams, U. S. Corps of Topl. Engrs. [Topographical Engineers]." The survey work is dated 1842. The chart is drawn at a scale of 1:15,840 (four inches = 1 mile) and shows the area at the outlets of the North, Middle, and South Channels of the St. Clair River which flow into Lake St. Clair. The chart is drawn in black ink on slightly yellowed paper and shows shorelines, water depths in feet, marsh areas, navigational channels, a north arrow and magnetic north, and survey triangulation points. A small inset map in the upper left corner shows Lake St. Clair, the lower St. Clair River, and the upper Detroit River.

- One navigational chart entitled, "Chart of St. Clair Flats Showing the Positions of Light House & Beacon Now in Course of Erection and the Channel Excavated in 1857 & 1858," that was prepared under the direction of Capt. W. W. Whipple of the Corps of Engineers. The survey was drawn by James T. Baker in October, 1852. Another note at the far right side of the chart shows "Copy, Bureau of Topl. Engrs., Nov. 10th, 1858" and is signed "J. C. Woodruff, Capt, Topl. Engrs., Asst. to Bureau." The chart is drawn at a scale of 3:16,000 and shows the area at the outlet of the South Pass (South Channel) of the St. Clair River which flows into Lake St. Clair. The chart is drawn in black ink on slightly yellowed paper and shows shorelines, water depths in feet, several depth contour lines, navigational channels, a north arrow and magnetic north, St. Clair Lighthouse and Beacon, and channel spar buoys. Printed text in the upper right corner shows "Sen. Ex. Doc. No. 1 - Ho. Ex. Doc. No. 2, 2nd Sess., 35th Cong." Printed text in the lower right corner shows "C. B. Graham, Lith."
