- Color Postcard depicting the Griswold Hotel from the corner of Griswold Street and Grand River Avenue, with several pedestrians in front and three American flags flying from the roof. Printed on verso: Hotel Griswold and Café. Is situated on the busy corner of Griswold Street and Grand River Avenue, and although one of the oldest, is most popular, being refitted and having one of the finest cafes between New York and Chicago. Here can be heard the finest music both vocal and instrumental with cuisine unsurpassed. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Jan 31, 1913.

Soldiers and Sailors Monument built in 1881 at a cost of $70,000. The red building at right is the Hammond Building. The electric sign on top of building is one of the finest in the west and when in action gives a description of the famous Chariot Race of Ben Hur. - Color postcard depicting the Hotel Pontchartrain from Campus Martius, with streetcars, pedestrians, and the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument in the foreground. Printed on verso: The Hotel Pontchartrain. Detroit's largest and best hotel, is beautifully situated on the Campus. It is fifteen stories high with three stories underground. This hotel was opened to the public in October, 1907, and is strictly fireproof. It is a marvel of convenience, the underground portion being most important for the comfort of the guests. Over five million pounds of steel were used in its construction. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Jul 20, 1912.
