- Looking southeast across the nrotheast corner of the Capitol. In the distance, across the Capitol lawn, on South Capitol Avenue is seen the Hotel Olds, Michigan National Bank Tower and Michigan National Bank Office Building.

- Farm Bureau Center located at 4000 Grand River Avenue North west of Lansing. Built in 1955. It provided nearly an acre of office space for 250 employees of the Michigan Farm Bureau, Farm Bureau Services Inc., Farmers Petroleum, Cooperative, Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company, Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company, and Michigan Association of Farmer Cooperatives. Other buildings on the 40 acre Farm Bureau Center were: Farm Bureau Services one story warehouse providing an acre of warehouse facilities, Farm Bureau Services Seed Processig Plant, FBS Lansing Branch elevator, Farmers Petroleum Cooperative Warehouse and garage.

- Looking south from the middle of the 100 block of North Washington Avenue, east side. The Prudden and Hollister Buildings in the 100 block of South Washington Avenue are prominent in this image. Signs for Broadway Lunch, Public Loans, Merrit and Bailey Shoes, and Hardy's Mens Wear can be seen. Many people are on the sidewalks. City Planning Division staff trimmed and annotated the photo.

- Cunningham's Drugs is at 100 South Washington Avenue. The Holly Lansing Grill is at 104, Baker's Shoe Store at 106. On West Michigan Avenue, the Prudden building entrance is 109, Archy's Lounge at 111, Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada and the House of Beef restaurant at 113 are followed by the Hotel Olds at 125 West Michigan Avenue. - One block away, on West Ottawa Street, on the left, is the State of Michigan G. Mennon Williams Building, renamed from the Law Building in 1997. On the right is the 14-story Lansing Towers apartment building, also on West Ottawa. Also seen are several homes, many of which have been converted to commercial offices.
