- Description:
- Located on Franklin Avenue. Hedges and Reck Drug Store sold books and other items, and contained the North Lansing post office in the rear, in addition to the pharmacy. A sign for Mrs. G.H. Gregory Millinery ("Upstairs") is also visible. The Lansing State Journal for August 1, 1933 (page 4), published this photograph with a long article about the business. The caption identifies the young man at far left as Benjamin F. Moore, then a letter carrier, who went on to become the postmaster at the office for almost 45 years. Ted Gleason is in the center, and John Reck is at right. Originally part of the Carl Dalrymple Collection.
