- Marriage certificate for Chas. S. Wolfe, of Reed City, Michigan, and Effie D. Whitney, of Hersey, Michigan. Certificate issued on December 28th, 1880. A small newspaper clipping affixed to the top left of the certificate reads "At the residence of the bride's parents in Hersey, Mich., Dec. 28, 1880, by Rev. O.S. Wolfe, Mr. Charles Wolfe, of Reed City, and Miss Effie Whitney, of Hersey." The certificate features a decorative border and text. The certificate is inset with 2.5" x 3.75" photographs of Charles Wolfe and Effie Whitney, which are inserted into pockets on the back of the certificate.
