- Sepia-toned photo postcard from a souvenir set from the 1923 water ballet and circus performance, "The Awakening," depicting 25 of the performers--women in bathing suits and hats--posed on the steps of their set at Shadukiam Grotto Stadium at West Davison Ave and Dexter Boulevard. "'The Awakening' presented by Shadukiam Grotto, Detroit, 1923. 17420 chair seats, 1000 participants--water stunts, circus acts, ballets, fireworks. Conceived and managed by N.C. Chapman. Photo by MacGregor & Vallin," is printed on the verso. The set of three cards were housed in a beige paper envelope with "The Awakening 1923, Photographic Mailing Cards, Price $1.00 Per Set," printed on them, and "Ruth McMeans, 326 El Cerrito, Piedmont, Calif." handwritten on them.

- Sepia-toned photograph depicting Eagle Boat No. 1 stationed at the outfitting dock of the Ford River Rouge Factory Complex. The boat is complete, and U.S. Navy personnel are taking control. - Mounted, oval-shaped sepia-toned head-and-shoulders portrait photograph of a man with a beard, wearing a suit. Areas of his beard, eyes, and the shadow on his face have been retouched in ink. A handwritten note on the verso suggests that the subject is Detroit Fire Department chief James Battle, however he does not resemble Battle in portraits taken later in his life. A Grelling and Company stamp is impressed near the bottom of the image.

- Description:
- Detroit Car Company stock certificate number 279 for sixteen shares issued to Mrs. Isabelle Hosie on July 24, 1873. The certificate was printed by the Calvert Lithographing Company and features an illustration of a steam engine pulling a box car and several passenger cars with a boat in the background. The certificate is singed by the Detroit Car Company's president C.S. Cram, and its secretary James A. Armstrong. Four payments are noted on the verso between October 19, 1899, and April 1901.
