- Color postcard depicting an elevated view of Grand Circus Park, facing southwest. The David Whitney Building, Hotel Statler, and Hotel Tuller are in view. Cars are parked on Adams Street and Streetcars are on Woodward Avenue. Printed on verso: Whitney, Statler and Tuller Hotel Buildings, Detroit, Mich. Grand Circus Park is one of Detroit's smallest parks. It extends in a circle on both sides of Woodward Avenue. It contains two fountain and statues and is surrounded by many of Detroit's latest skyscrapers. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked May 30, 1917.

The envelope is entitled in handwritten black text "Our Legislative City Government" by "Robert Barrie" and "Compliments of the President of the Common Council, 1900, City of Detroit." It is addressed to "The Honorable President of the Common Council, City of Detroit, AD 2001, Detroit, Mich."
