- The Wurzburg Department Store exhibit at the annual Home Show features the GE products they carried: three refrigerators, one with a separate freezer door; a stove; the insides of a dishwasher so one could see how it works; a clothes washer with the motor on display with a see-through agitator on top, so one could see how it works; a mangle iron press; three televisions, one a table top, another a small console, and the third in a larger console along with a radio and record player. A sign announces that "Television is coming to Grand Rapids in 1949. WLAV will bring Grand Rapids the world's greatest features including drama, comedy, sports, variety, and news from the nation's talent capitols." In the view is an exhibit next it of Chic's Paints & Supplies at 1956 S. Division, featuring "Berryflat" paint, "improved oil-based flat finish."

Ladies in dresses and hats, and a few gentlemen, are seated around cloth-covered tables, set for tea or coffee and pastries. In the center of the room is a large, raised runway with stairs so that the audience can see the clothing the models are wearing. A lady stands to the right of the platform to announce what each model is wearing. In the background are tall windows with swagged drapery and several lamps hang from the coffered ceiling.

- Roy Jurgens and Henry Holtvluwer first opened this department store with a third partner in 1912. Their sons and namesakes opened the men's clothing store on Leonard N.W. in 1939. The sons opened other stores and subsequent generations of the family become involved in the business.
