- Description:
- Harvey J. Taylor’s hardware store was located on the west side of South Main Street and was built in 1889. In 1899, Taylor’s nephew, Charles Wallace Case, took over the store and it eventually became known as C.W. Case Hardware or just Case Hardware. After Case’s death in 1944, his son, Mason Case, took over the business. The building was destroyed by fire in 1968. Owner Charles Case is on the right and Bill Fangboner is on the left.
