- Allied propaganda leaflet dropped on German soldiers questioning the reasoning behind the continued defense of Italy when there are already Allied troops in Germany. It was an attempt to dissuade German troops to drag on the fighting and the war.

- Photograph of the front entrance to the Electronics Building (also Electronics Shop) on East Campus of Western Michigan College of Education. Garage doors have been replaced with brick. Located behind the Science Building, the Electronic Building was known by several names including the Heating Plant (1915), Garage, Power Plant, Physical Plant Annex, Upholstery Shop, and Industrial Design Shop. Photograph appeared in the April 1956 Western Michigan College Newsletter.

- Two unidentified men standing beside a flat bed truck with a box labeled with Kalamazoo State Hospital. In the truck bed are two large wooden barrels. Behind the men and truck is one of the state hospital buildings. The Kalamazoo State Hospital, founded as the Michigan Asylum for the Insane, was renamed in 1911 and later became known for pioneering improved medical treatment of mentally ill patients. The hospital also was a pioneer in the creation of nursing and occupational therapy programs.
