- Benjamin F. Witherell's handwritten oath of office as Lieutenant of the 1st Regiment of the Michigan Militia. It reads: Michigan Territory County of Wayne I, Benjamin F. Witherell do solemnly swear that I will support the constitution of the United States of America so help me God. I, Benjamin F. Witherell do swear that I will preform the duties attached to my office as Lieut in the first Regt. of Michigan Militia to the best of my abilities so help me God. Benjamin F. Witherell Sworn and [?] before me this twentieth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and nineteen. Rich. J. Smyth, Justice of the Peace -D.D. The document is an oath of office for Benjamin F. Witherell for Michigan Territory in the County of Wayne filed July 22, 1819. The oath is written in two paragraphs and signed by Benjamin F. Witherell in both sections. The oath was taken on the 20th of July and signed off by the Justice of the Peace Rich [?] Smyth [?]. " Lieut. Benjamin F. Witherell's Oath of Office filed in my Office July 22 1819." is handwritten on the verso.

- Contract between Finzel's Orchestra and the Ashley and Dustin Steamer Line for the services of eight musicians aboard the excursion steamer PUT-IN-BAY during the 1915 season, dated April 1st. The contract is in black printed ink on yellowed paper and has been filled in by typewriter. It stipulates a payment of $178 plus an extra 50¢ each time the boat stops at Cedar Point and returns later than usual. The contract is signed by Edward A. Dustin. "Please sign and return this duplicate," is printed in the bottom left corner and a dotted black line at top suggests it was a piece of a larger perforated sheet of paper.

- Handwritten contract in blue ink between Fred S. Church and Thomas Beagleston detailing the conditions under which Thomas Beagleston will operate a sawmill belonging to Fred Church. The text of the contract is as follows: "An Agreement entered into this the first day of March Eighteen hundred and forty by and between Thomas Beagleston and Fred S. Church as follows. Said Beagleston agrees to operate the Sawmill belonging to said Church for the ensuing season on the following conditions. He is to draw the Logs from the yard on to the Log way and saw the same as said Church may direct to draw off the Lumber and stick it up in a careful and business like manner. to pile the slabs up in the yard. to square edge all the Boards and plank (except such as will cut to great Waste by so doing). to use the Mill and Tools in a careful manner and to make all the repairs less than one Dollar and to furnish his own lights if wanted for sawing nights. Said Church agrees to have the Logs drawn to the yard. to furnish an ox team for said Beagleston to draw on the Logs. and to draw off the Lumber. to furnish files, Tallow, and every thing necessary to to [sic] operate the Mill and to pay said Beagleston one Dollar per Thousand feet board measure for all the merchantable Lumber sawed to be measured when moved from the Logway, the account to be made up and settled monthly. It is mutually agreed that in case of serious accident, to the Mill or dam, said Church shall not be called upon to repair the same to great disadvantage, but that he shall do so as soon as it can be done in an economical manner. Said Church also agrees to rent Beagleston the House and Garden now occupied by Richard Baker for the rent of one Dollar per month. Said Beagleston agrees to leave the same on the first day of November next - if said Church wishes him to do so. Signed Clarkson April 30th 1840 in presence of" The contract is signed by Fred S. Bellers Garden for the services of sixteen musicians at the amusement park for at least fourteen weeks beginning May, 19, 1906, dated March 1st. The contract is in black printed ink on yellowed paper and has been filled in by typewriter. It stipulates a payment of $295 for six days week plus an extra $33 when they play all seven days. The contract is signed by Maurice Wolff. "Please sign and return this duplicate," is printed in the bottom left corner and a dotted black line at top suggests it was a piece of a larger perforated sheet of paper. "Wolf [sic] Park 1906," is handwritten on the verso.

The spaces on the first page where the date and the name of the representative of Ford would be entered, and on the seventh page where the parties would sign have been left blank. An illegiable handwritten note has been made in the margin at the bottom of the sixth page.

- Pere Marquette Railroad contract number 569, made with the Wayne County Road Commission in which the Pere Marquette agrees to install a 700 foot long rail siding at a road crossing 2.2 miles south of Plymouth. The document consists of a form envelope, an unsigned carbon copy of a letter from the division engineer of the Pere Marquette dated June 24, 1915, and a blueprint of the site attached with brass fasteners to an agreement signed by Pere Marquette's general manager, Frank E. Alfred, division engineer J.E. Johnson, and superintendent A.R. Merrick, as well as Board of County Road Commissioners chairman Edward N. Hines.

Ford, Klingensmith, and Graham Egerton as representative of Acting Secretary of the Navy, F.D. Roosevelt.
