- Invitation card to the Second Annual Fireman's Ball held by the Association of Ex-Members Detroit Steam Fire Department at the Light Guard Armory (noted in the invite as formerly being Fireman's Hall), on Tuesday, January 12, 1897. The card consists of a triangular flap with printed with an image of a firefighter's helmet, a twisted length of hose, and a hook, bound with yellow string over the left edge of a rectangular card. The recto of the card is printed with information about the event, and a red background illustration of a horse-drawn fire engine. The verso lists committee members. The recto contains information about the event, as well as a green background image of a horse-drawn fire engine. Committee members are listed on the verso. The invitation was printed by Williams and Horton on 48 Porter Street.
