- Ballou's Pictorial, Vol. X, No. 15 - Whole No. 249 dated Saturday, April 12, 1856. 16 pages numbered 225 through 240. Newspaper contains etchings, articles, and story chapters. The front page features an etching of Jefferson Avenue captioned "Central View in Jefferson Avenue, Detroit, Michigan." The etching features a view of Jefferson Avenue with many people and horse-drawn carriages in the foreground and a view of the river in the background.

- One sheet, containing pages 361 and 362, from the July 27, 1878 supplement to Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper. The sheet contains an article, "The City of the Straits: Rambles About a Thrifty Western Metropolis," containing information about the City of Detroit, including features about the May-Flower Tobacco Works, Pingree & Smith, Walker, McGraw & Co., and D.M. Ferry & Co. Also featured, on page 362, are several etchings of various Detroit scenes, including Jefferson Avenue, The Opera House, a street drinking fountain, and the Perry cannon in front of the city hall. Other etchings, on page 361, include an etching of the steamer "'Far West' patrolling the Tongue River in search of hostile Indians," the Colonel Edward Richardson, and P.T. Barnum's special advertising coach.
