A passage on the back cover promotes the store's second floor Young Men's and Boy's College Section. Within the booklet contains several pages of lined paper along with further advertisements for Clayton's, math formulae, and calendars for 1909 and 1910.

- One pocket notebook with a red leather cover that is stamped in gold lettering, "Compliments of C. B. Hutchins & Sons." The front page and the inside back cover page include advertising for "The Hutchins Freight Car Roof." The inside pages have light blue grid lines that are printed on white paper. Most pages are blank, but the rest have miscellaneous calculations, notes, and personal names handwritten in pencil. Some of the notes appear to pertain to purchases of wood.

The cover is printed with an illustration of a well dressed man and woman standing in profile flanking a Detmer Woolen Company crest, and the phrase, "Fine Merchant Tailoring." Buysse's address is printed below. An advertisement for Detmer Woolen is printed on the back cover. Within the booklet contains several pages of lined paper along with further advertisements for Detmar Woolen, several pages of facts and figures, and calendars for 1913 and 1914.

The cover is made of a thin plastic material that is printed in black text and has black thread stitching around the edges as well as on the binding.
