- Color postcard depicting Campus Martius, facing west. In view are the Hammond Building, Bagley Memorial Fountain, City Hall, and Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument. Printed on verso: The Detroit City Hall in which are located the administrative offices of the city, was erected in 1869. It is a handsome and substantial stone structure, situated on Woodward Avenue, between Fort street and Lafayette Avenue, occupying an entire block. The city spent $50,000 remodeling the interior in 1906. To the left is shown Fort street, west one of the leading business thoroughfares and which connects the heart of the city with the immense manufacturing establishments in Delray and other down-river industries. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked 1912.

Printed on verso: The Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, on the Campus Martius, was erected to the memory of the soldiers and sailors who fought in the civil war. It is a very handsome and imposing structure and is easily discernible from all parts of the Campus. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked 1912.

The large building at the left is the Majestic Building from the roof of which tourists may get a good view of the entire city. The Fountain at the right was a gift to the city from Senator Palmer and wife the cost of which was $20,000.00. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 4, 1915.
