- Notes:
- Very large brown/black woven goat hair bag. This is an almost complete, although damaged and deteriorated, bag. The piece of fabric was folded, weft-wise and sewn along each warp-wise edge with coarse linen yarn. Repairs of the side seams have been made with palm fiber and with coarse wool yarn. Single rib selvedges are present along both sides. The top is open. One edge of the woven fabric was finished by folding and sewing. The other edge has an interlocking looped border. There are thick goat hair loops added to each corner of the open edge. A long piece of palm fiber rope has been tied to one loop. This rope consists of two 2-ply cords that have been twisted against each other. There are five yellow bands near the center of the fabric. Four of the bands consist of two picks of yellow, two picks of black, two picks of yellow. One band has a third section of two picks of yellow. There are badly damaged remnants of supplementary weft (or weft-wrapping) diamonds between two of the yellow bands. These bands and diamonds appear only on one side of the bag. There is also a small amount of red in the pattern.
