- One drawing entitled "Survey of Northern and Northwestern Lakes, Design of Intersection Protractor." Notes beneath the title indicate that the protractor was "Made under the direction of Major W. L. Fisk, Corps of Engineers, U.S.A., and E. E. Haskell, Prin. Asst. Engineer, by Murray Blanchard, Junior Engineer." The plan is drawn in red and black ink on linen and is dated April, 1904. The drawing was prepared at full scale and shows plan, profile, and cross-section views for the design of a protractor which was used for drawing lake survey charts. Additional notes at the bottom of the title block give the following specifications: "Make bar of steel, graduated arcs of German silver, and other parts of brass. Protractor arms are nickel plated. Graduate protractors to 1/2 degree and verniers to 1 minute."

The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows a starboard side interior profile view of the hull framing arrangement of the Army Corps of Engineers tugboat, Manitowoc. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing (Hull No. 30) was prepared by the "Manitowoc Dry Dock Company" at a scale of 3/8 inch = 1 foot and is dated December 7, 1909. The plan number is shown as "5006."

The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows a starboard side exterior profile view of the hull and superstructure of the Army Corps of Engineers tugboat, Manitowoc. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing (Hull No. 30) was prepared by the "Manitowoc Dry Dock Company" at a scale of 3/8 inch = 1 foot and is dated April 22, 1909. The plan number is shown as "5030."

- One mylar copy of a map entitled, "Tracing from a Map of Springwells by Lieuts. Macomb & Warner, T.E. [Topographical Engineers], 1841, with the Addition of Outlines of Fort Wayne and Public Grounds, Sept., 1865." A signature beneath the title shows "December 12, 1865, (Sd) [Signed] T. J. Cram, Col. Corps Eng'rs." The map shows the existing topography along the Detroit River from the River Rouge to about 2 miles upstream from Fort Wayne. Several roads are shown including Main Road (now Jefferson Avenue), Wood Road, and Fort Street. Also, several mounded areas are shown in the vicinity of the fort which may be the Indian Mounds that were known to exist in the Delray area of Springwells Township. A small portion of the Canadian side of the Detroit River is shown in the area of Sandwich (Windsor), Ontario. A note in the lower right corner area of the map shows the scale as "1 Foot to a Mile" or 1:5,280.

- Description:
- One "Map of U.S. Lake Survey Basin at Fort Wayne." The map consists of black ink on linen and shows the dock and frontage along the Detroit River that were occupied by the U. S. Lake Survey Office at Fort Wayne. A seawall is also shown at the upstream side of the basin. Water depths are indicated in the vicinity of the basin to the nearest tenth of a foot and are referenced "to a plane 5 feet below the capping." The names, "Wm. J. Marshall," and "Drouillard's Boathouse" are shown on the adjacent "Crane Estate" property that is located immediately northeast of the fort property. The title block on the left side of the sheet indicates that the map was "Made under the direction of Major W. L. Fisk, Corps of Engineers, and E. E. Haskell, Chief Asst., Engineer," and is dated June, 1903. A note in the lower right corner shows that the map was drawn at a scale of 1 inch = 20 feet.

- One inventory list of the guns at Fort Wayne. The list is shown in a tabular format that consists of printed black text on white paper including blank rows and columns that were to be completed by the officer in charge. Several rows and columns have gun quantities shown in the lower portion of the table. The inventory list has handwritten text in the lower right corner that shows "Respectfully submitted to the Chief of Engineers, U. S. Army, with letter dated April 29, 1892. O. M. Poe, Col., Corps of Engineers, Bvt. Brig. Gen., U.S.A." A blue ink stamp on the verso shows "No. 39, U. S. Engineer Office, Detroit, Mich., Received Jan. 22, 1892."

- One navigational chart entitled "St. Lawrence River, Detail Sheet No. 7." The title block near the lower right corner of the sheet indicates "Major C. B. Comstock, Corps of Engineers, U.S.A., in charge" and that the chart area was "Surveyed by F. M. Towar, A. T. Morrow, and C. Stephens." The chart was drawn at a scale of 1:10,000 and is printed in black ink on white paper. Survey information includes water depths in feet, depth contour lines, shoal and current notes, river bottom characteristics, shoreline details, towns, roads, property lines, north arrow, and survey triangulation points. The chart is dated 1871. A black ink stamp on the verso shows "U. S. Engineer Office, Detroit, Mich., Jun. 20, 1901."

- One drawing entitled "Fort Wayne, Michigan, Drawing of Alterations to be Made in Floors." The drawing consists of black ink on vellum paper and shows several plan and profile views of the proposed floor construction as well as a support column in the fort barracks building. Handwritten notes beneath the title show "Drawn under direction of Gen. Totten by M. C. Meigs, Lt. of Eng., 21st March 1850" and "Eng. Department, March 25, 1850. Sent with letter of this date to Lt. Newton at Detroit. J.G.T. [Joseph G. Totten]"

- One drawing entitled "Plan and Sections Showing Modifications of Demilune at Fort Wayne." The drawing consists of black and red ink on linen and shows plan and cross-section views of one of the demi-lune gun batteries at the fort. The configuration of the gun platform area is shown as well as contour lines which indicate the elevation and grading for the ground slopes in the vicinity of the gun platforms. Handwritten text beneath the title shows "Engineer Department, Washington, July 21, 1866, Sent to Col. Cram at Detroit with letter of this date. Rich'd Delafield, Bvt. Maj. General, Chief Engineer, U. S. Army."

The drawing was done at scales 1/8 inch and 1/2 inch = 1 foot and is dated 1914.
