- Photo of three chiefs of the Lansing Fire Department. From left, Tom Wescott, Alex Cline, and Ned Burton or Mr. Bonner. Chief Wescott was one of the founders of the Lansing Fire Department in 1857, elected "chief engineer" June 17, 1872; also a charter member of the Grand River Boat Club in the same year.

- Photo of Willard Freeman Hopkins, Lansing. Graduate of Michigan State College. Employed in Ben Davis' bank. A vice president of the Chicago Trust Co. Sister is Bessie Hopkins. They came from Kalamazoo. Attended Boat Club parties on No. Washington Ave. A young father in 1900. Died in Chicago, IL.

- This is a side view of the O-Wash-Ta-Nong Club with the saucy second-story verandas which jutted out over the water on three sides, and a tall cupola-like tower with a wide observation deck. Several people are standing on the dock. Ca. 1890

- View shows the front of the O-Wash-Ta-Nong Club. The club was formed in 1885, building built in 1886, and burned down in 1903. Several benches are in front yard, as well as a hammock. A "Keep Off the Grass' sign is visible through the fence. Ca. 1895

- The Lansing Boat Club, founded in the 1870s, had its headquarters on Pine Lake. The clubhouse was built on piles driven in the lake bottom, near the southwest shore. The above picture, taken in 1890, shows an interior room. Two copies. Originally part of the Carl Dalrymple Collection.
