According to the Grand Rapids Herald, the store "is modern in its functional design, which combines warm friendliness with utilitarian comfort and convenience. This picture shows the longest store window in Grand Rapids-106 feet long and the long, sweeping marquee which enhances the modern lines of the building. Glass brick, colored cement, synthetic finishes add to the beauty of the new market."

De Golia was a plumbing and heating company that did remodeling, construction and repairs and featured Hotpoint appliances. Buth Dairy Bar featured a ice-cream and a soda fountain.
