- An interview of Louise Shumway Roe, conducted by David Votta in the Forest Parke Library and Archives, Capital Area District Libraries, in 2009. Mrs. Roe was the granddaughter of F. N. Arbaugh, who operated Arbaugh's department store in Lansing, Mich. No transcript has been produced. - The Knapp's building was "Knapp's Office Centre" from the 1980s to about 2000. The parking attendant booth is at Washtenaw Street end of the 200 block of South Washington Avenue, it was removed in 1989. Although the J. C. Penney department store building can been seen, no other stores are identifiable in the photo and it is unlikely that Penney's was still in operation at the time of the photo.

- This collection consists of materials concerning the J. W. Knapp Company department store that was located in Lansing from about 1910 to the late 1970s. In the collection are internal newsletters (the "KnappSack"--not a complete run), minutes, reports, some photographs, ephemeral items such as shopping bags and jewelry boxes, and other material. There are also photographs and some material on a Knapp historic district study and the renovations done by the Eyde Company in the 2010s. Some digital versions of the KnappSack newsletters, especially for the Christmas holidays, are attached to this record. The Knapp's department store was in operation from 1896 to 1980.

- The Wurzburg Department Store exhibit at the annual Home Show features the GE products they carried: three refrigerators, one with a separate freezer door; a stove; the insides of a dishwasher so one could see how it works; a clothes washer with the motor on display with a see-through agitator on top, so one could see how it works; a mangle iron press; three televisions, one a table top, another a small console, and the third in a larger console along with a radio and record player. A sign announces that "Television is coming to Grand Rapids in 1949. WLAV will bring Grand Rapids the world's greatest features including drama, comedy, sports, variety, and news from the nation's talent capitols." In the view is an exhibit next it of Chic's Paints & Supplies at 1956 S. Division, featuring "Berryflat" paint, "improved oil-based flat finish."
