- Mounted black and white photograph of Hazen S. Pingree posed while turning the first shovel at first grading of Grand Boulevard on August 10, 1891. Men surround Pingree to his right and behind him, while a wagon and a horse can be seen to his left. Pingree is looking directly at the camera with a shovel full of dirt and rock in his hands. He is wearing a suit, hat, and has a mustache and goatee.

- Color postcard depicting houses along one side of Grand Boulevard, with a median in the background. Printed on verso: Boulevard, Detroit, Mich. This Boulevard extends around the entire city, is twelve miles long and from 150 to 200 feet wide. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Sep 25, 1911.

- Small sepia-toned photographic print captioned on verso as "Grand Boulevard looking east from Palmer St., March 10th, 1918." Grand Boulevard is covered in snow. A row of billboards is visible to the immediate left. Large houses line the remainder of the left side as well as the right side of the street. The trees are bare and few automobiles are visible.

- Small sepia-toned photographic print captioned on the verso as "Mt. Elliot Ave. looking south from Grand Boulevard, March 10th, 1918." The view is along the center of Mount Elliot Avenue. Two sets of streetcar tracks run along the center of the street. Snow covers the ground. Several billboards are on the east side of the street. Those not obscured by utility poles advertise oil and tobacco. Behind them is a restaurant indicated by a sign which simply reads, "Eat.' Several homes and businesses are on the west side of the street as well. A young girl stands near a utility pole on the right. Two more pedestrians, and two automobiles are visible in the distance.
